Hi, I’m Assunta, founder of Apricus Naturals.

Like many of us, I’ve lived through a few dark nights of the soul. Midway through my life’s journey (as Dante wrote), I found myself starting over as a single mother. Life isn’t always gentle—it can push us to the edge, force us to change, and call us to grow in ways we never expected.

At every stage, I found something that kept me going. For me, it was always nature. The smell of herbs. The simplicity of handmade soap. The feeling of creating something with my hands that could help others feel better in their skin.

What started long ago as little homemade batches for friends and family turned into a quiet passion. Over time, I learned more about the healing properties of plants, oils, and the old ways of caring for our bodies with what the earth provides—no chemicals, no shortcuts, no harm.

That passion became Apricus Naturals.

The word Apricus means “warmed by the sun.” And that’s the energy I hope you feel when you use our products—gentle warmth, care, and the kind of nourishment that goes beyond skin deep.

Every product is made with love, organic ingredients, and the intention to support real people with real skin. We use herbs, oils, and butters the way nature meant them to be used—simple, effective, and full of life. And when I’m not blending a new recipe, I’m teaching others how to make their own. Because I believe healing is something we can all learn to create.

Who We Support

Animals have always had a special place in my heart.

Apricus Naturals is more than just a skincare brand, it's part of my personal mission to give back to the animals who’ve given me so much love. We're connected with Ferrara Veterinary Care in Sapri, Salerno, Italy, and regularly support local animal rescues both there and here in the U.S., including the ASPCA, The New York Bully Crew, the Glen Cove Animal Shelter, and others doing amazing work.

We're also proud PETA members, and I can promise you this: nothing we make is ever tested on animals. Our products are always cruelty-free, because care should never come at the cost of a life.

Personally, I’ve helped spay and neuter dogs and cats, and continue to offer financial support to pet owners in need. Helping others care for their animals is one of the ways I try to spread a little more love in the world.
